In a pioneering move for Japan, the company introduced the Tocho Maru, the first pure car carrier equipped with a stern ramp for self-propelled loading and unloading of cargo, and promptly laid the foundation for today's coastal car transportation in the country. Following FUJITRANS CORPORATION's decision to enter the air cargo handling business, the company was established as a joint venture with Airport Cargo Service Co., Ltd., a company known for its expertise in air cargo handling. Operations began on February 17, 2005, coinciding with the opening of the Chubu Centrair International Airport. Since the airport's inauguration, the volume of cargo handled has exceeded initial projections. In anticipation of continued growth, the concurrent use of AFS Cargo Terminal II began in July 2007.

Office building

The company provides leased office space primarily to forwarders (air cargo agents). The building is conveniently located in close proximity to the customs building and several airline sheds and offices, facilitating activities such as customs declaration for import and export, and ensuring easy access to aircraft loading space. The 3rd floor of this building houses FUJITRAN Corporation’s Air Cargo Sales Section of the Global Sales & Marketing Dept. No. 3 and Customs Clearance Section No. 2 of the Customs Clearance Dept.

Warehouse building

The warehouse building serves as the main facility for the temporary storage of export cargoes from various forwarders before they are cleared through customs. Upon receipt of the cargo, procedures such as weight and size inspection, damage inspection, etc. are carried out, and the arrival of the cargo is reported to the forwarder. Prior to customs clearance, air cargo labels, hazardous materials labels, etc. are prepared and affixed. The cargo is then sorted by airline and destination. Upon receiving discharge instructions, the cargo is immediately transferred to the airline shed. Some types of cargo are subjected to explosive testing. The warehouse building is also equipped with a packing workshop. Cargoes that are not suitable for transportation in their original condition can be suitably packed according to the shipper's specific instructions.
